For these homeowners, we gave their kitchen a facelift and also renovated their bathroom. In the kitchen we brightened up the space by painting the cabinets white, replacing the doors and drawers with a new more modern style, and removing the wallpaper and chair rail along with a fresh coat of paint for the walls and ceiling. We also put in a new tile floor and backsplash. In the bathroom we ripped out all the old tile and fixtures, then replaced the toilet with a bidet, installed a smaller vanity and sink to allow a little more room, converted the bath tub to a custom tile shower, with an additional hand held showerhead, marble corner seat, and wall niche. The dark tile floor and fixtures contrast nicely with the white subway tile shower and white walls to create a radiant, modern space.
